About the Vermont Hemp Program

The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets under 6 V.S.A., chapter 34 is authorized to establish and administer a State Hemp Program to regulate the growing, processing, testing, and marketing of hemp and hemp products in Vermont. This program requires the registration of hemp growers, processors, and certified laboratories to conduct testing on hemp crops and products, and conducts research. The Agency adopted rules that address standards and expectations for recordkeeping, reporting, testing, and labeling to protect and maintain the Vermont brand.
